UI/UX LAB
Light as a living language for shared, autonomous mobility.
UI/UX LAB explores the interface of an autonomous, shared-ride mobility system — a vehicle whose journeys are travelled together. The visual experience is designed to move in concert with sound, so the language of light stays legible whether a passenger relies on what they see or what they hear, making the experience inclusive for visually- and hearing-impaired travellers alike.
The lighting is seamless and continuous: it begins on the exterior and flows inward, behaving less like a fixture than a living organism that senses, greets and guides. For the moment, this exploration focuses solely on the exterior layer. The proposal embeds mini-LEDs within the glazed surfaces themselves — the glass stays transparent, yet becomes a canvas for singular luminous effects while filtering up to 50% of incoming UV, considerably lowering the temperature inside the cabin.
